Our Goals
Current methods of limiting honey bee exposure to neonicotinoids include ground based spraying and using formulations that dry quickly. However, these are not suitable for widespread farm use and do not address the toxic effects on the honey bees. Therefore, there is a critical need to develop a solution that prevents honey bee toxicity.

To combat this, our technology relies on the integration of biochemical interactions observed in nature coupled with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based system:
-
Goal 1: Synthetic peptides that mimic the nAChRs receptors will be developed using a solid phase synthesis based on the amino acid sequence information in the binding site to create a neutralizing formulation.
-
Goal 2: Bacterial species with efficient enzymes for highly specific biodegradation of neonicotinoids will be used to develop an optimized formulation.
-
Goal 3: Development of artificial intelligence and machine learning based system for delivery of the developed neutralizing components from Goals 1 and 2.
